Actress
Erika has been training and performing in the theatre since the age of four. She landed her first lead role at the age of five, and her first commercial at the age of seven. She has trained and performed in various acting schools in Philadelphia and New Jersey.
In her early teens, Erika was heavily involved in the Harmony Show Choir that performed locally and nationally at various local and private events. They opened for the televised “Welcome to America 4th of July Parade” and performed at Disney World in Orlando Florida. While in the show choir, she still managed to keep up with other aspects of training to enhance her overall performance abilities.
In 2006, as a sophomore in high school, she landed the lead role as Dorothy in The Wiz. She was recognized for “Best Female Vocalist” in The Wiz. In 2007, she landed a dual lead role as twin sisters Keisha and Beverly in the television series, TK. TK is a Caglevision Production about a group of good kids that are wrongfully labeled as thugs.
The television series TK premiered on March 22, 2008 in Manhattan, New York. Erika and the cast of TK have been taking their talents on the road. They have performed live at the Philadelphia International Film Festival - Awards Ceremony. TK also performed at the 2008 A.O.F. International Film Festival on July 31, 2008, where Erika was nominated for the category “WAB Best Performance in an Acting Role – Female”
In August 2008, Erika began filming Standing Ovation. Erika plays the role of Angel Wiggs, one of the five snobby daughters of Mr. Wiggs. In 2010, Standing Ovation will be making several public appearances in preparation for the national release on July 16, 2010.
